Aims and scope
Applied Energy provides a forum for information on innovation, research, development and demonstration in the areas of energy conversion and conservation, the optimal use of energy resources, analysis and optimization of energy processes, mitigation of environmental pollutants, and sustainable energy systems. The journal publishes original papers, review articles, technical notes, and letters to the editor. Authors are encouraged to submit manuscripts which bridge the gaps between research, development and implementation. The breadth of coverage ranges from innovative technologies and systems of both fossil and renewable energy to the economic industrial and domestic use of energy with no or minor impact on the environment. Applied Energy is also concerned with the attendant problems of modeling and forecasting, conservation strategies, and the environmental, social and economic impacts of energy policies and usage, including climate change mitigation and other environmental pollution reduction.

• Full Length Article: Full length articles are original, high-quality, research papers presenting novel scientific findings.
• Review Articles: APEN invites subject reviews from accomplished researchers and scholars in a broad range of topics within the scope of the journal
• Progress in Applied Energy Articles: aims to bridge the gap between development and implementation, focusing on fast-paced, cutting-edge research from forward looking aspects of energy innovations, renewable energy and clean technology and from energy efficiency to climate change mitigation. Intending authors must consult the editor by sending an email including an extended summary (300-400 words) and an outline of the article (300-400 words), together with the CV of the corresponding author, which should include a list of publications. The Progress in Applied Energy Panel of the Editorial Board will evaluate the suitability of the proposal.

虽然第一次是被拒稿了，但是编辑在邮件中明确提示（we do allow ………….)，并且在editor’s comment中我看到了一大堆针对修订稿才有的要求（research format, relevance…………..），我认为这是一个明确而又积极的信号告诉我这应该是个reject and resubmit。

又中了一篇，给大家介绍点经验，这个期刊影响因子和分区都很高，文章质量一般，并没大家说的那么厉害，明显弱于trans。投稿时建议做到以下几点：1.作者最好有外国人，纯中国人拒稿几率大；2一个人要挂多个单位，比如：你在国内某个高校，还要写个国外的单位，这样子就给人你很牛的感觉，供职于多家研究单位，虽然可能只是有点牵强的关系；3.一定要多挂基金，最好挂上3-5个，即便基金没关系，也要想办法挂上；4.一定要敢吹，图片做的很漂亮；5.推荐审稿人一定推荐自己认识的；6，作者要来自不同的单位。这个期刊主编喜欢这种套路，马上毕业了，不藏着了，把经验传给大家，我们课题组基本有投必中，这几点也是我们中的法宝，拿走不谢。每年发表这么多文章，哪有那么多创新，都是靠嘴。
